Friction Measuring Device in Pipes
Equipment’s Fluid Friction Apparatus enables us to study flow, flow measurement techniques, and losses in a wide variety of pipes and fittings. The equipment has three water circuits with instruments, pipes, and pipe system components. The flow measurement instruments show the common methods of measuring water flow and measure pressure losses across instruments or components. They also give applications of the steady flow energy equation (Bernoulli’s equation).

The test is based on the reaction between calcite and dolomite with hydrochloric acid and consequent carbon dioxide emission.
